SUBMARINE RULES

The task (first attempt): designing urban program and urban rules for western half of Središće area.

It is not known what could be built there except that it must be something big.

This bigness must be important for the whole city.

This bigness must fulfill all unrealized hopes.

This bigness must be beautiful.

This bigness must be cute for everyone.

This bigness can be built by everyone, whenever and as much one wants.

“The Rule of Submarine” has been designed for testing urban rules in extreme conditions of developer demands. The idea has been overtake from “Submarine Game”.

Developer game in some way seems to be a reversible process of the same rules – precisely when shutting “tabula rasa” area one of the players becomes the winner.

Transferring rule into format of urban field with previously designed 3D net the same rule is looking this way:
A: The project unit contains not more then six fields, no matter what’s the format of the field.
B: Project units must be separated by one field minimum in each direction.
C: Maximum 3 floors can be built in bigger units. In smaller units height of the building is unlimited.
